Who We Are?

Our Mission

The heart of living an imperfectly perfect life consists of a readiness and willing to look within that leads to accepting the invisible wounds to begin the healing process.

I think it’s also important to share that I see a lot of clients who have come to believe that they are “not enough”. Through the working therapeutic relationship, we explore that little voice that whispers (and sometimes shouts), “You’re not enough” and gently shift the internal narrative by focusing on mindfulness self-compassion, family of origin relationships, and new messages of self-worth. I truly believe no one has to be stuck with an inner critic, but has the ability to grow into a self-loving person.

Is anxiety (fear and worry) holding you back from living the life you envision for yourself?
Are you waiting to achieve perfection before you’re willing to put yourself out there and go after the life you want?
Does the thought of making a mistake, failing or being judged paralyze you?
Are you constantly bullied by your inner critic?
Anxiety can get in the way of living a full life, let’s work on taking your life back!

Imagine…

  • silencing your inner critic;
  • overcoming anxiety so you can crush your goals;
  • creating the focus needed to tackle your dreams;
  • feeling completely confident, calm, and fearless standing up and taking risks.

About Dominque

I have had the honor of journeying with people during emotionally challenging times in their lives. My integrative approach is both compassionate and directive; it is also creative and based in current therapeutic and empirical research. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual.  Therefore, I strongly believe that the most progress comes from a good client-therapist relationship, so my style is non-judgmental and collaborative, meeting clients where they are and working with them to access their unique strengths and empower them to reach their goals.

Acknowledging my own encounters with anxiety, depression, procrastination, and perfectionism, I know what it is like to set overly unrealistic expectations for oneself. How can we ever appreciate and enjoy the present if there is always something more we “should” be doing? In the constant question for perfection, we can lose sight of the pleasure and satisfaction to be gained on the journey to reaching our goals. By accepting nothing less than winning, we set ourselves up to fail while experiencing perpetual anxiety in the search for perfection. I will work with you to unpack the rigidity of these thought processes, while helping you to reshape the way you think about these expectations.

Therefore, throughout my professional journey, I have been devoted to supporting individuals seeking to grow as human beings, to overcome life’s challenges, and to discover their best selves.  I have experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds. I have gained experience working in settings such as a psychiatric residential treatment facility, medical detoxification center and addiction recovery center.
